{Dec 10 2023: I got this book in physical form in a special edition book box, so I decided to reread it to give it another shot. My thoughts have changed slightly, that’s why I have rated it a start and a half up. I still feel that this isn’t as Ansty, as it should be, especially for the context of how their romance ended and the situation with how it ended. Another con for this is that there is no explicit sex scenes, so the spice is very minimum. I would give it a 2 out of 5 on spice. }
I went into this book expecting angst, and a whole lot of it. But I didn’t get that! I felt so let down in how this story is executed. I’m supposed to be filling angst with Sparrow, but how the story is written I never connect with her. All the characters feel very two dimensional or flat. Even the part where I know should bring me angst. Just made me feel indifferent. I’m very disappointed 😢!
