This will always be one of my favorite books. It made me laugh, love, and cry all at the same time. The way Lou narrates her feelings makes you feel like you were in the story too. I was so sad when Will still decided to go with his plan, I cried for days after finishing the book! Yet, it will make you realize that sometimes all you can do is just stay with them until the last moment and that you cannot blame anyone even yourself for a decision they made. Sometimes all you can do is make them feel heard, loved, important and valued.

Gorgeously written and even loved there were more themes in the story than just romance - family, mortality. The way both characters are flawed but brought out the best in each other. Sad ending, but I couldn't see anything else being realistic enough to end it.

My favorite part of this book might be the inexplicable title. What does it even mean?

For real though, this novel asked difficult questions. And the ending...was difficult but as it should have been.

Interesting look into British life and culture tho. Lou felt like a real person. Not personally relatable but definitely lifelike.

I always like me a retelling of Beauty and the Beast tbh.

It brings up thought provoking subjects that may be upsetting, especially for sensitive readers.

I went into this book knowing what was going to happen but wanting an emotional release. What I didn't expect, was becoming so invested in the characters from the start. Louisa is such a well-developed and dynamic character, and watching her come to terms with the world around her and discover herself is wonderful. I do have to say that once Louisa's trauma is revealed, we rarely hear about it again which was kind of strange.
This is a beautiful book with a beautiful message to live life to the fullest and choose how you live. Additionally, Will and Louisa have amazing banter that will make you laugh throughout.
If I had one true critique, it was that there was some very abrupt point of view jumping which could be jarring.
