It has been some time since I have read an Agatha Christie novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A rollicking tale, with a compelling heroine.

Next was Agatha Christie- They Came To Baghdad which I’m reading as part of the Harper Collins #ChristieClub. I signed up to this reading club as I have literally only read two Christies prior to this, being more of a Chandler/Hammett gal, and I was very surprised by this one, as I did have a certain perception of Christie as a writer. This was a more than satisfying spy thriller, with a beautiful sense of place, and a wonderfully sassy female protagonist. The building of tension and control of pace was superbly controlled and I fair whipped through this one.  I very much enjoyed it, and my Christie appreciation is beginning to grow…

One of those books where I had to take notes because I couldn't keep up with all the characters.

This definitely wasn't as much of a "whodunnit" as the other Agatha Christie books I've read, but Victoria made for an entertaining character to follow, so I enjoyed it, anyway. And there still managed to be a twist that I didn't see coming!

A little different from the Poirot and Marple novels, it is more similar to the Tommy and Tuppence ones. I loved it, it has a smart and brave heroine, far away magical places and a plot for world domination! It even has romance.
