my favourite classic this year, it kept me enthralled the entire time and the writing was so beautiful yet not impossible to understand. Every character was so complex and had things to root for and against. It portrayed such strong themes of grief and mankind and nature vs nurture and made me think a lot. I love how she wove in multiple different timelines/stories into one so seamlessly and how you get to hear everyones perspective. Part of me sympathizes with Frankenstein and part with his monster but they're both so different. I completely understand why this stood the test of time.
