Technically a three star book but gets a fourth because the art is great.

Sometimes your brother or sister can be an Unbudgeable Curmudgeon! They wake up on the wrong side of the bed with their shoes on the wrong feet and their pajamas on backwards. One little sister does everything she can to help her brother shake off his grumpy face only to find that grumpiness can be contagious. Cute book about how a bad attitude can spoil the day of your friends if you're not careful.

Pretty cute, I liked the premise that it's OK to be grumpy and that everyone has ups and downs.

Fun read aloud that a lot of kids will relate to.

Thanks to the publisher and Edelwiess for an advance look. Such a fun look at emotions and how they change, I like how the illustrations convey a lot of the emotional change and give expression to the feeling.

The curmudgeonly illustrations fit the ebb and flow of the plot of a bad mood that hops from one person to the next. The text itself was not quite as stellar as the rest of the elements - I didn't find the rhythm satisfying.

This is a fantastic reminder that, while we all have bad days, we are all capable of turning them into good days! Also, to remember that the same is true for others; we can help them do it! A great book for kids who play together! :)
