Hoewel het boek meer dan 450 pagina's telt, gebeurde er bijna niets. Alles is wat simpel verwoord waardoor het verhaal geen aparte atmosfeer krijgt (wat ik toch echt wel een must vind bij fantasy). Gelukkig waren de personages wel sympahtiek, anders had ik dit boek opgegeven.

It was okay. There was nothing i hated about this book but there wasn't anything i liked either.
There is really not much happening in this book, i've read books where on the first 100 pages is more action than on the whole 500 pages of 'The Magicians Guild'.
But it was not bad, maybe i will continue reading the series, because the friend who recommended it to me said that the following books are much better. We'll see.

One of my favourite books and series of all time, Trudi Canavan is a really amazing author :) This takes you to a world of fantasy, magic and adventure with a long story, but none of it is boring. It introduced you to amazing characters that I really fell in love with. Each character had a really well-described personality and I felt like I knew them.
