This was a heartbreakingly beautiful story that I can barely put into words. We have come so far but the fight for equality (specifically for BIPOC, Trans and queer women) is no where near over. I loved the different POVs and Six Thirty is the greatest dog who has ever lived ❤️

I love the confident, smart women in this book and the way it challenged the societal norms of the 1960s. It still feels very relevant to today. If I had a daughter, I’d want her to have women like Elizabeth as a role model. This was a charming, thoughtful read that made me think about my relationships, the ways I communicate, and the influences we often don’t notice in our lives. It was a fantastic audio book to listen to while I walked or did chores. The narrator perfectly captured the way I imagine Elizabeth would have spoken.
I think it lacked some depth that I would have craved if I was reading it as a print edition though. The outline of the plot and characters is great… it just feels like there’s not quite enough meat to sit down and read.
