I have a lot of thoughts about this. For me, the only positives I personally have is 1) Liam is the absolute best character, no notes except he didn't deserve that one scene, 2) the dragons
talking to one another
is everything, 3)
Xaden's pov is honestly kinda sweet and made me hate the romance portion a little less
. Now what I couldn't stand the most: this is not enemies to lovers in any way. This is 100% a forbidden romance. If you enjoy this book, good for you. Not my cup of tea but I enjoyed it more than ACOTAR. Also to note, I loathe Violet's inner thoughts. Especially in regards to Xaden, she just reminds me of a horny teenage and she really can't respect his boundaries in the beginning/middle of the book which threw me away from supporting them as a couple.

Absolutely loved this book and the characters in it. Really cool to see a main character with a physical disability and that she is such a badass. And the enemies to lovers in this is just perfect.

I found that Violet kinda had main character syndrome at times but I found that I didn’t even care cause of how much I was enjoying this.

The plot really pulled me in but I felt like the worldbuilding was weak. Also a bunch of the plot felt frustrating to me. It has a soap opera quality that both turned me off and made me curious.

It was cool to have the heroine's hypermobility/connective tissue issues as a focal point.  I really appreciated the viewpoint and found it relatable. Also
how she worked on her body but also focused on finding accompdations for herself (poisions, the knife in the gauntle, etc.) And that a large part of the romance was her refusing to be with someon  who doesn't believe in her. I liked that Xaden  was okay with  accommodating her and letting her do things her own way.

The quotes are amazing and most of the characters are loveable, the ones that you should hate are easily hated

I loved that a main character has a well depicted chronic illness. We see her pain but also see the strength she has developed to bear up under this pain. I cannot say how much I loved this!!!

I wish it were a closed door romance instead of steamy. And I also wish there were no curse words. The plot, world building, and character development carry the book and these elements aren’t needed.

So resistant to read this, but finally gave in and I’m going to eat my words because I really enjoyed it. Didn’t think it was going to be my vibe but it definitely fulfilled a certain niche of reading interests for me.
