Just love how Dolan writes messy, (almost) unlikable characters. and even though they were so messy, they were so relatable sometimes, maybe because that made them feel more real.
I think the ending of the book is also just perfect:
the happy couple is happy not being a couple. Nice. And also nice that Luke and Archie did not end up together
.

Utter waste of time. Nothing happened. No one grew. Nothing got solved. What was the purpose of this book???

Another fantastic book by Naoise Dolan. I love the way this was written from various characters perspectives - as it gave so much backstory and insight into the way they behaved. None of them were likeable but they were believable and oh so very human. I think the ending was perfect too - showed so much growth on both Celine and Luke’s end. Just another story bout emotionally unavailable people and how they ruin everyone around them. Amazing writing, plot and compelling characters. Archie was probably my favourite of the lot!! It’s so real how we adopt the habits of people who hurt us previously in order to protect us from future people. Speaks volumes of the trauma that comes along with emotional manipulation.
