What a big mess!

This story tells of the heart wrenching life addicts go through moment by moment in an effort to regain their sobriety and the angst the people who love them to through. Gavin Lockwood was a man struggling to stay sober. Along came Marisol Gomez who gives him the reason to stay on the wagon. Even though she's supposed to be a pretend girlfriend to improve the rock star's image, they fall in love. Along comes Gavin's so called childhood friend, Liam, who throws a monkey wrench in Gavin's relationship with Marisol who then questions her relationship with him. Naturally, they struggle to get back their relationship to where it was before.

This story was an easy read romance.

Now this book is interesting. Relationship of convinience is not something new in romance genre. In Never Enough, Miss Noir combines it with a interesting twist of addiction. She also develop an entertaining plot and chemistry between Gavin and Marisol.

I love Miss Noir names her heroine Marisol. It is excotic and sexy. Marisol is a determine strong young woman who has many chips and responsibility on her shoulder. One night she accidently stumble upon Gavin, the rock star.

Now Gavin is also a hero with many dark past. However Miss Noir chooses to reveal his past with humor and hope. Overall the story is combination of comedy with a sober note on addiction issue.

Overall I do enjoy this book very much.

This book actually surprised me a bit. It was better than I was expecting. Tbh I mostly picked it up because I was in the mood for a bit of a smutty escape and this sounded like it would fit the bill.

It started out with one of my favourite tropes, fake dating, and then you’ve got the rockstar guy and the square lawyer thing going on. The story ended up being a lot more interesting than just a few steamy scenes, though there were those too. Anyway, I enjoyed it enough to check out the next book in the series.

CN for some pretty heavy drug references as he is a recovering heroine addict. Lots of talks about recovery, friends who aren’t sober and relapse.

Dual POV, med-high spice, 18+

The fact that I'm giving this four stars is actually a HUGE compliment, since I don't usually relate to stories that revolve around drug addiction/recovery at all. Somehow, though, the author presents it in such a way that you feel for Gavin and his struggles to stay clean, without romanticizing drug use.

Marisol is a sweetheart WITHOUT being a pushover, and I love that about her. I thought that this book dealt with a potentially heavy topic in a compassionate way, while still being a fun book overall. There were several moments that made me laugh out loud, and plenty of sexy times!

I felt like things were being set up for a story about the bandmates - I hope that's the case, because I'd love to see more of them!

This book was provided free of charge in exchange for my honest review.
