Started this book today and finished it this evening. It was a surprisingly good read.

I picked this book up meaning to find a quick beach read and instead was pleasantly suprised at having found a pretty good book. I gave it a 3 because it didn't stand out as one of the best books ever, but I did really enjoy reading it.

The book doesn't have chapters so before I knew it I had spent an hour getting sucked into the story. The plot follows a young woman struggling to find meaning in her career and order in her life through the story of her mother having cancer. The main character's voice is great, lots of great quotes and one liners. I am at a similiar point with my life/career that the main character is in and found her to be very raw and real. She is the book's best part.

A fun chick-lit read, fairly well written, funny and witty you'll finish it in 2 days! However, its only 3 stars, because it hasn't been that long since I read it, and I can barely remember any actual details from the story.

A wonderful novel about family, life, and love. I couldn't have enjoyed it more.

This book was good enough. It was a super fast read and a perfect compliment to the harder stuff I've recently finished reading.
The story is so-so...I think the inner flap was more interesting than the actual story and I spent a lot of time getting frustrated with the characters for being so annoying.
But its good if you don't want to think too much and fun enough to bring along on a trip or sitting on your nightstand to you can grab it when you can't sleep yet.

This book started out slow. Basically u read this book if you have nothing else to do--sounds harsh? I did give it 3 stars, I know, but it does throw a little curve at the end that was nice and makes it worthwhile. It is a fairly easy read I got it done in a few days.

Just as endearing as Davis' first book. Strong and comical. What good is life if you can't laugh?!
