A short book that is also slow going. Enjoyed the parts recalling her relationship with her mother but could leave the parts of walking around London.

I did not hate this book but I didn't like it. I finished it because it was short enough to not be all consuming of my existence. Idk, I feel like I am on the outside of the general consensus of this one but I was bored. And honestly, confused. From the beginning of the this novel the author says it isn't a memoir but throughout it feels like it is. Idk, I don't generally find myself enjoying books that are "so deep" that everything is confusing just for the sake of being confusing. Maybe I just didn't get it, maybe I am just simple minded... this one did nothing for me though, it was honestly a forgettable tale. And if this is a memoir and I just called your mothers life forgettable I AM SO SORRY, she really was a lovely lady.

It was an ok book about aging. While reflective .. It read more like a slow and a bit underactive life biography.. It feels real and a bit boring. Very realistic through
