Hilarious and exactly perfect for summer. And very on point in social observations. Like the Knockoff, Sykes and Piazza are so good at capturing the absurdities of social fads and running with it. Read this by the pool or on the beach. Or anywhere, really. And don't take yourself too seriously.

I loved this book. I know it’s not the most “well written” and the story is very predictable, but I thought it was hilarious and the characters were relatable. I found it to be a humorous way of talking about serious issues in the way women are judged by their bodies and held to an unattainable standard of beauty and size.

Not very much excitement unfortunately. I expected a little more substance & fun.

Very funny moments but too long for what it was. I am a huge fan of long, meandering, sweeping books so long as they have a point. The point of this novel was delivered by chapter 3, making the entire middle of the book repetitive and making the satire less “biting.” Despite this, it was an enjoyable romp and I will be recommending it.

Embarrassing disclaimer: I thought this was non-fiction for the first few chapters. It wasn't until the plot really came out that I realized mistake.

Regardless, this is a heartwarming and light read with a lingering emotional impact. I couldn't suggest it enough, especially considering the society we're living in today and the social media trends that are mostly unkind. I found my heart racing, myself laughing out loud, and my face flushing with embarrassment for Janey many many times. Just remember, don't drink the kool-aid.

Five starts from me!
