Slow burn; enjoyable. In a few places, the characters were especially unlikable, (in my opinion), and morally questionable, however, they did provide interesting insights into life and civilization. Intelligent writing; intelligent characters. Was not as sad as the cover makes it seem, though there are brutally realistic concepts and ideas that are dissected. 3.5/5 Stars?
