Interesting idea, but not really good yet. Will give at least the next volume a try as well.

Something Is Killing The Children Volume One is a wonderful introduction to this world. Jumping straight into a creature horror story without being weighed down in subtext and backstory is refreshing. Flawlessly drawn and in only a handful of pages completely enthralling. Now begins the long wait for the next one.
