A twist I didn't expect. This is scary, tense, depressing, and I couldn't put it down. I appreciate the shift of point-of-views to keep you on your toes as well as to break up the really stressful parts.

I was genuinely surprised by the way this book was written. Unlike a lot of thrillers, I found this one to be beautifully written, focusing more in depth on the characters and their feelings. It was dark, gore, disgusting, but I couldn’t put it down. It’s the type of book where you love to hate the characters. The end was chef kiss

This book fell flat for me. Kind of disappointing since because of all the good things I had heard about the book. The twists weren’t a shocker to me as everything that happened I predicted which was good because of the foreshadowing but I shouldn’t find myself guessing every twist. :/

So this book is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. I was hesitant to read this book solely based on hype, and glad I finally did. It begins like a slasher read and quickly becomes something more sinister and psychological, a think piece into generational trauma if you will. The characters start off one note but become more complex as you get more from the past/present timelines. Excellent story that hooked me from page one.
