I was genuinely surprised by the way this book was written. Unlike a lot of thrillers, I found this one to be beautifully written, focusing more in depth on the characters and their feelings. It was dark, gore, disgusting, but I couldn’t put it down. It’s the type of book where you love to hate the characters. The end was chef kiss

Wow, this book was a ride! It made me feel deep, dark emotions. The writing made me feel helpless and depraved. Adding that my youngest son shares the same name as the main character, my mood was HEAVY. 

I did find the story to be a little repetitive and I would have liked to have more of a backstory as to why the family did the things they did. Otherwise, I would have rated it 5 stars. The writing was incredible.
