While I like the concept of Batman: Black & White, the execution isn't great. The stories are very uneven and, after reading a few, I needed to take a break from it. They all began to run together, and you're getting so many versions of Batman that it can be disorienting. Not everyone used the black and white style - it felt like some of these stories would be told the same way regardless of color.

one of the best characterizations of batman/bruce wayne, and the weight he carries — why he does what he does, and how he remembers each and every person he fails to save.

On one hand, the concept is beautiful. On the other, there is something off putting about the idea of claiming.

Medical examiner Batman and those that were too late to save.

This was my favorite one. Showing a more human, less punchy side of his work. Bringing justice to those he could not save.

4/5 - Batman doing the work of the police. The black and white added a lot to the general atmosphere of the story.
