A bit long winded and I nearly abandoned it a few times. By about 3/4 through I finally felt some investment in the characters, and the ending was surprisingly delightful when I realised who the mystery guest actually was.

Something or someone is watching over the tenants of 66 Star Street and little do they know that big change is coming for all of them.

~Review~
I picked this up because I was in the mood for something easy. This turned out to be waaaay darker than I expected!

This book does have the kind of great flushed-out characters that I've come to expect from Marian Keyes and I think the characters were my favourite element of the book. The narrator of the story is unknown and seems to be omniscient. We later learn who the narrator is and I thought it was an interesting twist.

This book has some very dark elements and is very graphic at times so I would advise that people look at the content warnings before reading. I was definitely not expecting this book to be so dark.

I don't usually talk spoilers in my reviews but I just can't leave this unsaid. I really didn't like how a baby is used as a way to 'solve' their issues. (I can't remember the character names but they are a married couple who really shouldn't be having children). Those two are hardly in the position to look after themselves, let alone a baby. It just made me feel uncomfortable and didn't feel like the happy ending that I think the author intended.
