A Fantasy Romance That Is Hard To Put Down!!

This is such an amazing Fantasy RH Romance!!! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! I’m so excited book two comes out next month!!

Trigger warnings for SA should be included - I read "dark" and think of different things, not necessarily SA. So, this book does have detailed scenes of this. Fair warning.

I got this as an ARC and enjoyed the overall story line. I enjoyed it.

Wasted my time…

This was such a long ass book and it could have been cut maybe a hundred pages short. The FMC is… how’d she go from being a slave to acting like a queen so fast??? And the guys? Like… I maybe liked Raz and Zor but the other two? Pft.

I really enjoyed this; it was layered and the world building was quite complex. Anaria has been a slave for her whole life and finds herself thrust into a world where suddenly everyone wants something from her.  I enjoyed the subplots with Ember and Solok and how they unfolded even if some parts were pretty brutal to read. The romance is slow burn but it allows room for Anaria's development and although the focus is one particular MMC in this book, it looks it may be about to shift in book two after that ending.

I liked the idea of the MMC's being part of a long con in relation to the mysterious prophecy (and I was with Anaria when she couldn't believe no one had actually seen it in person). I also loved that the dynamic completely changed within the group once they were on the run.  Tavion and Raziel were the stand outs for me although their relationships with Anaria were completely different. I am looking forward to Tavion's development in the next book as well as seeing more from Tristan after that epic entrance. 

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

I already thought L.A. McGinnis was one of the best writters in this genre and then she outdone herself with Savage is my kingdom!
A steamy romance with elements of darkness, political intrigue,secrets,betrayal, morally grey characters, wicked Fae,monsters and scorching hot scenes.This intriguing and all-consuming tale is absolutely soul-gripping and will have you hooked from the very first word to the perfect end. I can't wait to read her next book!

Savage is My Kingdom By L.A. McGinnis is a reverse harem fantasy romance novel. It is book 1 in the Wicked Realms series. This book was filled with a lot of action from beginning to end. It definitely focuses more on the fantasy genre in book 1 than romance but that was needed for character and plot building in this story. The fae are beautiful and savage just like the title suggests. There are spicy scenes it’s just the plot and character development are the main focus. The world development is amazing and I was wrapped up in reading about this place.
Anaria a human slave gets swept up into the ruthless fae kingdom. She has a lot to learn to survive being there. This book was one adventure after another and I am definitely ready for book 2. If you enjoy fantasy definitely check this series out.
