Philippa Soo is DELIGHTFUL as the narrator. Lily Chu's writing is so entertaining, fresh, invigorating, and just so so good. The dialogue sparkles.

This was a closed-door romance which I usually do not go in for (personal preference only, happy for those that like it/don't mind it!), but the writing was so freaking great.

I had some issues with parts of the plot
(how one-dimensional the sexually harassing boss was, the mother leaving her daughter in another country and never ever begin in touch, I mean UGH)
, but overall really enjoyed this book.

I loved Lily Chu’s other audiobook and this was just as good, if not better! I really related to Gracie’s character. I enjoyed the plot and thought it was fun and surprising but not overly heavy. Fast listen!

This was so much more than I expected. I didn’t expect to feel so connected to Gracie and Fangli. I thought this would be a silly fun rom com, which it was. But there was also so much heart and depth. It’s not a perfect book- it definitely had some pacing that was a little rocky. But it really meant something to me.
