The illustrations in this book were just as beautiful and whimsical as in the first book. I really enjoyed how the author and illustrator built up the world even more in this book. The addition of Anton as a character was charming, he is my new favorite.
I love that there are moments where the illustrations tell the story, rather than blurbing it. I didn't love the actual story as much as the first book, but overall I enjoyed it. And it ends on a cliffhanger! So there will be another, which is great!

Ik ben niet echt in de bui om nog een grote review te schrijven net zoals ik bij deel 1 heb gedaan. In dit boek gaat Nola terug naar Panorient en komt midden in een feestje terecht. Gelukkig zijn haar vrienden er en wordt ze meteen weggesmokkeld. Het was een heerlijk verhaal om te lezen en ik heb onwijs genoten. Camouflagepoeder dat blijkbaar zorgt dat Nola kan blijven. Cyprien een vervelend klein kind waar ik het vermoeden van heb dat hij een verrader zal zijn gegeven hoe hij is rond Nola en gegeven het einde. Anton was geweldig. Ik vond de vriendschap tussen de kinderen erg lief en zoet en ik moest bijna een traantje wegpinken bij het einde. De tekenstijl is gewoonweg PRACHTIG. En oh ja, we komen weer wat te weten over Nolas moeder. Ik kan niet wachten op het volgende deel.

Après avoir lu tous les tomes un à la suite des autres, mon avis est le même pour tous. Il ne se passe pas suffisamment de choses pour qu'il diffère.
C'est une chouette BD, il y a beaucoup d'actions et ça s'enchaine, ce que j'aime beaucoup. Je sais que la protagoniste n'a que 8 ans et qu'elle agit comme tel (ce que j'apprécie!!), mais en même temps, on dirait que j'aurais aimé la voir apprendre un peu plus de ses erreurs et évoluer un peu.

Pandorientin maailman lore syventyy, mutta tämä jatko-osa oli hieman tapahtumaköyhä. Nola auttaa Cyprianin, sillä kiusakörmyt kiristävät häntä varastamaan isänsä puutarhasta erilaisia maagisia yrttejä. Nola ystävineen onnistuu estämään kuninkaan salamurhan. Cyprian ei kuitenkaan tiedä Nolan olevan toisesta maailmasta, ja hän onkin hyvin epäileväinen tytön suhteen. En muista toimiko soittorasian maaginen portti myös toiseen suuntaan, pystyisikö Cyprian seuraamaan Nolaa tämän maailmaan?

Cute, but the story is too familiar too me. I adore the illustrations. My 9 year old loves it and I can understand why :)
