Such a fun novella, and I love that it brings out women in STEM!

Sometimes it felt like this novella was a draft because of how fast certain things happened. When everything changes 180°, I felt like I missed an entire chapter where the inciting incident that made them turn the corner happened.

Mara was quirky and Liam was just the opposite. It had very strong Love Hypothesis vibes. I enjoyed how they talked about the Bachelor and her blog. But at the same time, there were too many loose ends - did he get a new job and the twist...that came out of nowhere.

SpoilerWhy doesn’t Liam ever have sex!?!? He doesn’t like it?? That’s not a good enough explanation. Had he had sex before? I need more background on this! And how did Mara not ask more questions? She just shrugged it off and didn’t think twice about it. If a thirty-something year old man told me he doesn’t like sex, I would have a few questions for him.

This met my expectations in every way, where my expectations were based on having previously read three full length novels by the same author, in the same “series.”

The story was what I expected it to be from reading her other books. But the smut was ick. They both said and did some cringe things that ruined the scene. I’ll still probably read the other ones because, you know, women in STEM.

I absolutely loved this novella! The banter, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, great friendships surrounding women in STEM? 10/10 recommend! Excited to read the rest of the series!

I liked the concept; 3 short(er) stories of 3 friends. They're easy to read in one sitting. The only romance I was kinda convinced of was this one. I think a big issue with having these novellas in one book was that if you read one right after the other, you get really bored with the same overused tropes.
Right, so. I kinda liked it when they hated each other. As someone who has lived with roommates I've despised, I get it. But like, she didn't even entertain taking a huge amount of money from him? Bffr. Also I found the scene where she didn't sign for his package quite funny, and kinda wish I did that to my housemates lmfao. I liked how their conflict was lifted, it was ok. Also, it's classic to get your man into the shitty shows that you like, so I can respect that.
But then... ugh. I hate how most of these MCs have fucking doctorates, yet are all incapable of reading other people. Not a single one.
