#5: Popsugar 2018: a Book read by someone in public.

3.5 Stars

Baran was reading this. I liked the plot and the characters but found the book/chapters abrupt. Interested in book 1.

This was a good intro to the character of Detective Harriet Blue. I like how the detectives' POV intertwined with the suspect's POV. The action on the water was engaging. The ending was predictable and I had guessed it early in the story. I'm thinking 3.5 stars for this one.

The audiobook was very hard to follow.

Much more satisfying than the full novel (which I read first). Renewed my interest in the series: I'll watch out for #2.

Grrrrr. Wasn't sure what I should rate this. Was a 1 for a while but it grew on me, damnit! :/

I didn't like Blue much at all, though she did grow on me. The story was good enough and I really liked Tox from the start, which is just about the opposite of everyone in the story.

Will probably try the first in the series and see how it goes. Would have liked the books to be about Tox rather than Blue though!
