JARVIS and Pepper being friends makes me happy. And Maria and Pepper realizing what an ASSHAT tony is. And ummmmmm most of this run. Yep.

Except for ghost. I wasn't fond of ghost.

Not as good as 3, but still very good. My poor Pepper. Tony is SUCH AN ASSFACE TO HER. But it was so good to see Maria and Pepper interact some more, especially when they realized WHAT AN ASSFACE TONY IS, and then managed to get past it to get the job done.
Also, I don't believe that stuff about Pepper needing the RT to be as smart and strong as Tony. She proved she doesn't need it in the end of this. I also love that she hasn't gotten over Happy. After everything, she still misses her husband, and maybe even blames Tony the tiniest bit for his death. And yet she doesn't let it get in the way for long and she does what needs to be done.
It was also lovely to see Steve and Bucky and all the rest.
I really like this run.

"I know you. I think I know all of you." Five stars mostly for the heart-wrenching look into Tony's psyche towards the end. Feelings, I have them.

OK like, for me, this might be around the part in this run of Iron Man where I feel like I'm penalized for not having read any of the Marvel Civil War stuff, because like seriously what. Which I mean... sure, that's on me for not being a totally dedicated Marvel fan, but up until this point I felt like this series was pretty newbie friendly. OH WELL, I'm still gonna keep reading cuz I still like Iron Man & pals. And I especially like Pepper in this!!

Again with the very mixed feelings about Fraction's choices. Some things he does very well, other things... not so much. Salvador Larroca's art is fabulous, however.

I would have given this a three star review but Ghost scenes got another star. The story seems weak at times but overall it was pretty good.

I love how the cover recasts the iconic Tony Stark at Captain America's corpse image, which itself recast the iconic image of the Avengers discovering Captain America in ice.

The two-tone issue covers were also marvelously striking.

That said, the parts of this storyline that dealt with Tony wandering around his inner landscape were disappointing. I felt like there were a few good images drowned in a lot of repetition, and I wanted a lot more depth about Tony's current relationships and friendships, particularly the fallout of the civil war.

The storylines in the waking world were much more interesting, though I am still hopelessly confused about what Tony's former friends think of him, and I wanted a hell of a lot more emo porn in his encounters with Captain America and Thor. Perhaps when he's awake.

The emotional climax -- Tony needs to be able to ask for help -- and the killer machines show up again in later arcs, although I hope the machine arc isn't done. I don't feel like we really get a satisfactory answer to why Tony went so far to creating world-destroying machines. (Or why he needs to, when the world already has nuclear bombs, but I try not to ask these questions about comics.)
