Almost forced myself to finish this just so I could give it 0.25 stars. I do not come to romance books for misogyny, homophobia and sexual assault. The scene at 35% in the prison was so disgustingly violent and unnecessary. What the actual fuck. First and absolutely the last time I will touch anything by this author. Romance can be such a joyful and liberatory genre, but this is absolutely not it.

The most Batman-like of the series yet. I loved all of the additional details we got from side characters and the Duke of Wakefield was just as starchy and uptight as I expected. Artemis was a lovely FMC, and I enjoyed how strong willed and defiant she was.
I really hate mistress proposals and this book has that so. Just know that.
