I wanted to give this 3.5 stars so rounded up to 4. Feels a little disjointed in places, with flowery language that felt far removed from the setting and characters, but all in all, an enjoyable read!

let’s just say I want to read everything Susannah Dickey writes! Her writing is beautiful, there was so many quotes that had me wanting to cry (specially the quotes about mother and daughter relationship since I miss my mom every second of every day). It was the first time I read a book with dual pov that had me totally engaged with both characters, their lives/thoughts were so interesting to read about. It was a great read after reading two very underwhelming books lol!
‘We’ve had each other, and it’s been divine, and maybe I let us get too wrapped up in each other, because we were having such a good time, but when I’m gone you’re going to need other people.’ ‘Other people are terrible.’ ‘Maybe don’t start with that.’ ‘Fine.’
