Through most of the book, I was thinking this was a two-star read, but the author really hit her stride in the back half. The book is told in two parts: during rehab and post rehab. I found the rehab portion a bit flippant. I couldn’t tell if it was intentional or not, but it made the narrator seem like she lacked sincerity, making it hard to get into the story. The post rehab section was much more dynamic and grounded and as a result, I felt like we really got a look into the character’s triumphs and struggles.

I enjoyed this book. I'll definitely read future books by Georgia. At times it felt like it was missing a little something, but this is coming after a string of really great books I've read this year. Nice work.
