The girl - her dreams and her courage? Amazing.
The book? Good, even very good in spots, but not flat-out great.

I am giving this book 5 stars for so many reasons. First, she's way younger than me but yet she achieved and done things way more. Second, i would love to applaud her father for treat Malala equal as his sons. In some countries, the value of daughters is usually far below than sons. There is no celebration and the mothers will have to feel ashamed for themselves due to failure of bearing sons. I have massive respect for you, Malala's father. She wouldnt be where she is now if you did not support her and push her to chase her dream. Third, This is the perfect example to show which one is the real muslims. I got tired eventually to explain myself that we are differents from those extremists and terrorists. They may claim that they are muslims but i can say it's not. You dont have to go to religion scholar to learn about muslim, just read this book. Malala is an extraordinary girl with courage but every single of her intention is intertwined with her faith. She always prayed to God and ask HIM to bless her in every good thing she tried to do. Take a look Islam through this girl and you'll know those who did suicide bombing and killing didnt even represented the whole muslim population. Four, Malala perception for not getting 'an eye for an eye' with a guy who shot her is admirable. Overall, this book is a journey of a girl who just lead a normal life like other teenagers (watching twilight, dancing behind doors) until some self proclaimed , extremist and terrorist group (Taliban) took away her right to go to school and getting an education.

I can split this book into two parts: the first part deals with Pakistan's history and politics, the second with Malala as a girl.
I found the first part interesting but slow and sometimes boring. On the other hand, the last 30-40% of the book touched me deeply, and I read the last few chapters at a much faster pace.
Definitely a must-read book for the role model Malala is for lots of people all around the world.
