This is a wonderful science fiction book with Demisexual and Panromantic rep that I loved!
Post-alien-invasion, one girl teams up with an unlikely alien ally to try and save the world from complete colonization.
I really enjoyed the plot of this book and the romance was sweet. There were parts that felt like they dragged a little to me, so I feel like the pacing might have been a bit off. Overall I enjoyed it a lot!

I wanted to like this one more than I did! It's a great book, with commentary on race and class that is interwoven into the story wonderfully. For me, something was missing, though I think my teenage self would have been all over this. I love that music and stories bring Ellie and MoRr1s together. I wanted to see more of the Ilori culture (though maybe I will? Sequel?), and the ending felt very abrupt, almost wrapped up too neatly.
