Okay so this was my first time reading this classic. It was hilarious. I will be reading Doctor Who in Wonderland soon and thought it would be nice to have some background. Will read through the looking glass soon too.

Also I used the Audiobook read by Henry Edwards for parts of the book.

It’s cute, I like the puns. Obviously I’m not the target demographic but I feel like there’s better kids stories out there idk I don’t wanna be a hater

Honestly, I had great expectations from this book, because it is a very popular classic. But just like Alice, my expectations also went down and down and down the rabbit hole. I didn't have much idea about the details of the story, somehow despite it being so popular, the universe saved me from any spoilers. I am a little late and a little too mature for this content. Apart from that, I think the book is very well written. I realized while reading, that it is just like a dream, complete and utter nonsense is happening in the wonderland. And I thought at one point that maybe Lewis Carroll had a weird dream one night and he decided to write it. And the ending reveals that it was indeed a dream, not of the author, but of Alice. And that is the only reason that I gave it 3 stars, else I don't think I would have liked it at all.

A really interesting and fun book (even when you are reading it as an adult), but I think I would have connected with it more if it had been something I had read as a child. The Wordsworth Editions are so beautiful! I would recommend reading this!

I understand that it's supposed to be a dream, but Alice dreams very, very weird. One would almost think it was drug induced, I mean I understand creativity, but this is intense. I also don't know whether this is a thing for kids, but Alice talks to herself quite a lot. Maybe that indicates something. I did not particurarly like this book as I felt that it was so random, I could not follow properly. But if you are up for a very random and short book, this is the book for you!
