It was so nice to revisit some of my favorite characters of The Divergent series in this book, it was fun to read about things from Tobias's perspective and also to be able to read more about Dauntless and Fours childhood! I didn't want it to end!

It's an easy read and kept me turning pages eagerly, but it mostly feels like fanfiction with just a hint of smut, and all the most interesting story is happening in the background-- which of course it is, as detailed in the Divergent book. I liked the expanded perspective on Four's background since he felt a little flat to me in the original novel. I wish idealized female love interests got their own little asides like this one.

I loved this book, it gave me a better insight on the factions and why all the events occurred.
I love how we got to understand how Tobias lived, going to the fear simulator every night, going to the computer room and watching Jeanine, becoming good friends with Zeke and Shauna, the tension between Eric and himself.
It really just put the story into perspective and gave it more life.
I feel like I know Tobias more now.

I really enjoyed this book. :)

I love Divergent trilogy and I really adore Four but this book was surprisingly boring!
I don't know, maybe if I had read this book immediately after the first three books I would have another opinion, maybe I should have read it after them but I couldn't, I was heartbroken because of what happened in Allegiant.
There was nothing new in this book, like no important information or anything that wasn't mentioned in the first three books. It's nice tho to know what Four had been through.

Interesting. I am definitely delighted after reading this book more than I was after Divergent. Veronica Roth has grown up and which is obvious by her way of writing. Maybe I feel like reading the trilogy all over again.

Easily a four star read. I wish the short stories didn't have such abrupt endings though. but man oh man oh man i miss watching the divergent movies for tobias eaton alone. yes i totally had a crush on tris too, but FOUR. please. his name is four. there was no way i couldn't have a crush on him. anyways yeah kinda banging. also, the scenes at the end? iconic. i loveeeeeeee the "you look good, tris" scene. had me screaming. i might rewatch the movies. so good.
