This is terrible writing, there were just too many grammar mistakes. The story also didn’t flow very well.

DNF @ 15%. I wasn't really feeling much chemistry between the leads and the writing was stilted and overlong; way too much meandering inner dialogue. Also, there were many grammatical errors, missing words, and oddly structured sentences. The concept seemed interesting though.

This turned out be a good read. I’d rate it 3.5/5 ⭐️ and 4/5

It was a good retelling.

Some of the writing and plot felt choppy and jumped around. You could still follow the storyline and it was a good plot.

I would read the others in the series if I get my hands on them.

This male main character’s voice is aggravating me. Like the following:

His suggestion caused an uproar amongst males who were already agitated. I hadn’t even known I was capable of such vile profanities, curses leaving my lips like a mother tongue.

I cannot with this kind of narration and so far the first two chapters (plus the prologue)are in his perspective. I won’t put myself through this. Such a shame for a beautiful cover.

I really enjoyed this book.
It surprised me because I initially side-eyed the forced marriage aspect but even though the Heroine is taken against her wishes he still gives her autonomy and puts control in her hands. I enjoyed the relationship between the brothers and how they tease and look out for each other. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
