This was so hard to read and I almost DNF’s, but I’m stubborn. I can’t explain why, maybe the writing? The style? The fact that in a whole entire book barely any plot happened? I can see where the author tried to have multiple plotlines going at once, but it never neatly tied up at the end. Very strange. Don’t really recommend.

This is book three in A Detective Kaitlyn Carr Mystery Series. Kaitlyn's sister Violet is still missing and so is her friend Natalie, but now they have found clothing and other items that she was wearing the night that she disappeared then found Natalie's clothes folded the same wait neatly in a bag, were they kidnapped or had they run away?
When a woman is found dead in a apartment owned by a marine Kaitlyn goes to investigate who killed her but nothing is adding up so Kaitlyn will have to think out side of the box to catch her killer. She gets teamed up with her ex Thomas and he tells her that he wants her back, but then he shows his violent side again.
After talking to another of Violets friends she discovers a whole new side of her sister that she knew nothing about, but then gets a call and has to go back to LA.
I absolutely love this book and series and I can't wait to read the next book. I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner that takes you in right from the start and you have to keep reading until the last one. Kate's books have so much depth to them and have characters that you can engage with and you also feel like you are there going through everything yourself.
