I was so impressed with the cover blurb on this book, but the book didn't live up to it for me. Having a tight household budget, I waited for over a year to purchase it, hoping the price would come down, as I don't like to pay $4-$5 for a book by an author I've had no experience with, just in case I don't like it. When this book was needed for a personal reading challenge, I took the plunge and purchased it, rather than check and see if I could get it from the library. I wish I hadn't!
I didn't enjoy the story being told from the perspective of so many different heroines. It reads as if it was a screenplay that had been adapted to a book format! There was also a lot of bed hopping in the book, so it became difficult to follow who was doing what with whom. There was so much drama and angst in it, it was exactly like the soap opera it was named for! Another thing I didn't enjoy was the liberties it took with Greek Mythology, adding in goddesses to the pantheon while explaining actions of the core gods and goddesses in bizarre fashions.
All in all, this is a book that I really regret purchasing, would return for refund if I could, and would not recommend to others!

This was a fun smutty spin on real housewives tv show in a book form with Greek myths.
I liked that you got to read each perspective of the girls and what they were supposed to embody. What I didn't like was that it never felt flushed out. We meet the characters and we're just thrust into their problems and drama. We don't get to learn about who they are pre drama we're just giving the basics and thrown right in. Then when the drama is in the thick it doesn't seem to go into much detail and when everything comes to an end it was just a hey yeah everyone's happy, buy the next book. Overall not a bad read but not one I'd pick up again.

This book was soo much fun to read! It was like the print version of Wisteria Lane, only funnier. A definite must read if you could use a good laugh, or hell, if you favorite soap has been cancelled recently.

OMG Desperate Housewives meets Dallas with a smothering of mythology!!! I loved it. I'm not usually a DH kinda gal but the whole Greek Pantheon of characters just drew me in. There was broken marriages, cougar Titans, wannabe princesses of Darkness and one very peed off Queen of the Gods who is just about to kick her butthole of a hubby to the Olympic kerb.
Absolutely stonkingly great read!!
