This was such a disappointment. I was looking forward to reading this because everyone is raving about it and I've only ever heard good things about it.
Sadly, this wasn't the case for me. I didn't like the writing style, I felt it was a bit pretentious. It was also drawn and dragged out so much, with endless details and repeating one thing over and over. It was also unnecessarily depressing and bleak.
The romance storyline was so weird. One MC is a child for half of the book (which was a bit distrubing) and the other half of the book, he is gone most of the time.
I kept waiting for the romance to come... and when it came, it was all weird and not romantic at all.
I will try the second book because I want to love this series so much and I want to give this author a chance. Hopefuly the rest of the series won't be as problematic

It had some obvious flaws like the age gap and some of the writing style.
But overall a great werewolf book. I loved the characters, i laughed out loud, i cringed and i cried.
I will continue with the series

Narrative voice is kind of dull. And for some reason “sure” in this book is code for “emphatic yes, I wholeheartedly agree!!!!” Very similar to TJ Klune’s other books - an awkward, poorly socialized gay man finds someone who tells him he deserves love.
