I'm usually not a fan of deus ex machina but I'll be making an exception for the end of the swordsmith village arc because oh my GOODNESS. also genya yaa habibet albi come here let me hug you.
I'm going to be totally honest, I didn't realise just how much of the anime's adaptation of the hashira training arc was original content. don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed what I've read of the manga's hashira training so far, but there were so many great filler-esque moments from the anime that I loved and wanted to see in the manga. I suppose the anime still exists, but still, it really took me off guard just how much of it was anime-original.
this volume really reiterated just how mixed my feelings on sanemi are. I get it, his heart's in the right place, but the way he expresses his will to protect genya is appalling. I could honestly write an entire essay on that one scene alone, but I'll save that for another day.

hands down my favorite volume of the series so far. it's got everything that gets me hooked on the story in the first place: action, emotional impact, hilarious moments.
vol. 15 is even more special for its crucial plot developments, revelatory backstories, and its uncanny, startling ability to make me cry in one scene then literally LOL the next (chapter 132 is legit the funniest manga chapter ive ever read). also tanjiro best boy and i love his interactions w/ the other characters so much.
