For a high school age setting, a lot of the romance between Derek and Scott just didn't feel that realistic to me. It wasn't that long ago since I was in high school and I know we were never that dramatic about professing love and devotion for our significant others, let alone that much raw emotion. At least not among me and my group of friends, gay or straight. I found myself rolling my eyes a lot. I also felt that there was just an overall sense of over explaining and redundancy and I personally did not care much for how in depth with the wrestling some explanations of moves and matches got. I mean I know the title has the word wrestling but I wasn't looking for a 'non-fiction' type informational on the subject (if that makes sense).

It was definitely a cute story line but not original enough for me so it was pretty predictable. I don't have the strongest of interests in continuing the series but I don't know maybe in the future... if I had nothing else to read....

This is a very sweet story about first love. The characters were young and acted as would be expected. It was a well written story and I enjoyed it.
