Liebe den Film und liebe das Buch. Beides ist halt Übels gut und ich mag es dass man hier noch mehr über den Hintergrund und die Kultur lernt als in dem Film ja. Kleinen Abzug weil einfach voll viele von meinen Lieblings Szenen fehlen und ich mir nicht vorstellen kann dass niemand die reichste Familie in Singapur kennt

THIS STILL HOLDS! I forgot how good this was. I forgot how dramatic it was. I forgot how beautiful this was. The twists and turns, the culture intertwined, the richness of each character. It doesn’t get old. Maybe I’ll just have to re-read the whole series…
Genuinely LOVED this book. I felt things for every one of the characters I love when they make you feel even the worst emotions. It really takes you to a new world that I would love to visit

It does get a little confusing with all the different characters and locations, but definitely enjoyable. Many main plot points are different from the movie
