This story was insufferable. The main character is Holden-Caulfield levels of immature soreness, causing themself pain and anguish just for the sake of being interesting. The events are mind numbingly boring. The fact that nothing is resolved by the end makes me wish I had DNF’d this.

“Realistic” depiction here means snobs who cant get a grip. Two childhood friends who used to date and still hangout daily spend their days being passive aggressive and trying to make the other feel worse. Why would I wanna read such characters? If you read this book and liked it because it is “realistic”, if these characters behavior made you feel more normal, I’d advise immediate self reflection and an urgent therapy appointment!!!
