Relatively understated ghost story. Recommended to people who actually read ghost stories on purpose.

Supernatural thriller set in Iceland. Reminded me a bit of Stephen King's style.

I normally don’t mind a slow burn story, but I also expected this to be a bit scarier based on the description and praise it got. This had a great overall story, but I think there were details that had gotten lost in translation.

I just didn’t care about the characters and not a fan of the ghosts, maybe super natural aspect

Two stars obviously indicates that I do not think this book was very good. For what it’s worth, though, a pulpy and generally vapid procedural-meets-ghost-story is among the better “bad” reads, in my opinion. It was like a low-budget television series that ya just somehow wind up watching till the end, and then you immediately turn it off, shrug, and go about your day.
