This is one another one of my comfort books that I read and reread. It has all the tropes and niches that I love in a book. Possessive male, dirty talk, touch her and *** vibes. Laurelin Paige delivers on her books every time. Carly Robins also does such a great job narrating these characters and sucks you into their world.

This is where I stopped:

"And then his fingers were on me, pushing aside the thin material of my panties, reaching for the sensitive bud at my core. I moaned at his touch, his thumb circling the bundle of nerves with a skilled mixture of deep and gentle pressure. Feather light sweeps followed measured rubs. I was already writhing when he dipped a finger into my hot opening."

Just call it clit and slit, goddamn it. If you're writing smut, DO NOT pussyfoot around dirty words. Seems like I'm being picky, but the writing here is-smut aside-subpar, to say the least.

I'm 10 years too late, but feels like so many people jumped on the erotica train after that other awful book became a MASSIVE success, probably as a dare: "can I write something as bad or worse and still be successful?" And clearly the answer is yes, since the bar for this genre is not low, it's actually underground. SMH.

This was a drag and I am not sure how people rated it so high.
