This was a first book by TN King that I have read. I enjoyed the premise of the story. I vacillated on the characters. One moment they were fine but the next when they would be all wishy washy made me crazy. The twist at the end seemed out of left field. Cliffhangers are frustrating to me because of the amount that I read often causes me to forget things while I'm waiting for the next one to come out. I hope the next book is better as I really wanted to like this more than I did.

This is my first book by this author and I loved it. The instant chemistry between Morgan and Ellie is really felt. The interplay between Morgan and Ellie is interesting because even though they connected they get torn apart and fight their connection, more so on Morgan's part. It was interesting to see the inner monologue of Morgan and the struggle he had with wanting or needing Ellie. Ellie is a sweet but hard working woman who just had some rotten luck. Morgan coming to her rescue not only in the fire but all throughout the book it becomes insightful when Morgan realizes that Ellie is saving him ultimately...the ball portion was probably my favorite of the whole book. Ellie has that submissive vibe and predators pick up on that. Was slightly perturbed with the ending with a wide open cliffhanger. Not a fan of those, but it was a perfect set up for the next book. William is going to be the perfect creeper predator. I would highly recommend this book and author!

I just loved how you never knew if Ellie and Morgan would get their HEA as there were so many highs and lows in the book. It was great how both Ellie and Morgan were confident in many aspects of their life but also in many way vulnerable and to the point you wanted to shake both of them and kept you turning the page to see where they end up. This book has a great steady pace and some fairy tale moments but also some twists/surprises you don't see coming. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2!

I was given an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the premise of this book but yet again the execution left a lot to be desired. The hero rescues the heroine from a burning building. What wasn't made clear in the blurb was that the heroine wasn't just innocently in the building and it caught fire, oh no, she walks into a burning building because she has to rescue a photograph.

A photograph that is apparently so important she leaves it taped to her locker at work. If it was me and I had a photograph which was that important I would be walking around with it. Anyhow the hero manages to see her in the burning building and rescues her. Convenient. Just like her managing to get all the way to her locker without passing our from smoke fumes or her clothes catching on fire was convenient.

I can't deal with stupid characters so I quit this book after I read the prologue. If you don't mind stupidity in your characters, that kind that could get them killed then I'm sure this book is the one for you.
