As far as the writing goes, this one is much better than her first. It doesn't jump around as much and sheds light on many things she did not dare say when her husband was still living. She says what she thinks and feels and while I or you might not agree with her all the time, it was interesting. I could not put this book down.

Yes, it is written how she speaks and some people can't take that but I thought it was lovely. As if she is sitting there and telling me all about her life. It however also made me want to shake her until she realizes how abusive her husband truly was. I developed an intense hatred for a dead man I never met in my life. More than once I screamed "What the- are you SERIOUS?" and the like at this book because I just couldn't believe it.

It might be unfair but the only thing keeping me from giving this five stars was the heavy focus on her husband and her trying to defend him. Some of it has disturbed me enough to keep me from sleep that night. I'd recommend that anyone who might be triggered by spousal and child abuse stay far away.
