As with the first volume, Grip 2's visual influences are clear and varied: 1910s-era Futurism, 1930s-era Soviet print propaganda, and 1970s-era underground comix. It is a joyful and wordless comic celebrating the industriousness, ingenuity, creativity, independence, and fierce power of women who work with their hands. This second volume makes up for its less "musical" style with its more overtly political rallying cry for the women workers of the world.
