I don't know why I bothered to finish reading it and didn't abandon it. Maybe because I had invested so much time already, hoping for something. But it didn't happen. It was acclaimed and recommended so I bought it but I regret my decision. Nothing worked for me.. neither the storyline nor the characters nor the writing style. all in all, it was a complete waste of my time.

Well-written, poetic and beautiful book that makes us travel on the Italian riviera in the 1980s. I love how the author describes feelings, doubts and fears a 17 year old boy can go through.
