They say men have sex on the brain 99.99 percent of the time. You're not going to catch me trying to dispute that...In my case, though-and I suppose, in my defense-sex is part of my job.

Well, heck, Lauren Blakely, when your main man opens with this statement, where can things go but up? I have to admit that, having fallen so completely in love with BIG ROCK when it came out, I had high hopes for MISTER O. I mean, just the title-how could it be anything but great? Well, no surprise, Lauren has artfully delivered another wonderful friends-to-lovers story, complete with characters that I wish I could actually spend time with, sizzling chemistry, and a repeat performance by the inestimable Fido, king among cats.

Nick Hammer (yes, that's his real name, thank you very much), cartoonist extraordinaire, and best friend of Spencer Holliday of BIG ROCK fame, finds himself in a fix. See, he's ready to cross a line, that line that says that you don't mess with your best friend's sister. But Nick can't help himself, because Harper Holliday has had the starring role in Nick's late night fantasies and early morning shower time for quite a while.

Harper Holiday. Red hair. Blue eyes. Face of a sweet, sexy angel, body of a badass, ninja-warrior princess, and a mouth adept at pitch-perfect delivery of sarcasm. I'd play Dirty Synonyms, Dirty Antoynyms...Dirty Anything with her.

Yep, Nick definitely has Harper on the brain, and when she comes to him for help in the romance department, he can't say yes quickly enough.

I have to admit to having a mad girl crush on Harper. I mean, she's a magician. Like, sleight of hand, pull Skittles out of your ear, do it for a living magician. Totally badass, indeed. The fact that she's looking for schooling in the love department just makes her more endearing.

I want to look into someone's eyes and feel like he knows me, gets me, understands me. I want him to see my quirks and accept them, not try to change them. I want to know what that's like.

Not so much to ask for, right? And, before he knows what's hit him, Nick wants to be that guy, because, when he least expects it, this quirky, sexy, Princess of Many Faces has grabbed his heart, and he's so gone.

Lauren continues to write books that engage and delight from the first page, and there is not one of her characters that does not reside in my heart. MISTER O continues the Lauren legacy, and I could not have asked for a better follow-up book in this series. A well-deserved 5+-stars for MISTER O, and lots of left over warm fuzzies and smiles for me. Next up, WELL HUNG, where Nick's brother Wyatt gets his story, and I cannot wait. If you haven't started these books, do it now. They are not to be missed.

Good

I enjoyed this book. I can honestly say I wants entirely thrilled. It wasn't a book that I had to keep reading. I usually read books in on sitting or two. This one took me five days to read. It was a struggle but I made it through.

Nick Hammer is another fun, funny, and sexy hero from the pen of Lauren Blakely. There's a particularly funny section in the book where Blakely makes tongue-in-cheek fun of romance writers in general and herself in particular.

This book easily is my favorite in this series of books by Lauren. The first was just a cherry on top whereas this puppy was the yummy chocolatey filling in a decadent piece of cake! And yes that is an ode to the cake love featured in this book.

Spencer's baby sister Harper who is a professional magician and his best friend Nick Hammer who is a cartoonist were very much the perfect match. Nick was a darkly handsome, muscled, tattooed and bespectacled hottie. Just the image my brain concocts for Nick makes me shiver. PHEW! Nick was an absolute babe and sweetheart. He went from a shy teenager and bloomed into a bit of a ladies man but more than that he was a serial monogamist. He loved women and they loved him. And what he loved more than women was giving women pleasure. Thus the title Mr. Orgasam! Well, not entirely. That has a lot to do with the televised comedy cartoon he created and writes for.

Harper was a unique combination of vulnerabilities and strength and I loved how her and Nick complimented each other so well. I know I could describe more of Harper's character but truly just read this book. Harper was a riot in the first book but her book was just perfect.

Harper and Nick fell in love slowly over a few weeks, which was relatively easy given they had been friends for years. Add an insane attraction and even more things in common they either realized and sprinkle in some outrageous sexual chemistry and you got a damn good book.

This book, as I stated above was my favorite. I'm looking forward to her newest release about Nick and Wyatt's sister Josie soon but even having read the two books that follow this one I still stand with my decision to dub thee thy favoritest. Nick was hot. Harper was fun and fantastic. The chemistry was out of this world. The sex scenes were INSANELY GOOD. I think I had to fan myself a couple times but it was well worth the effort. And those two epilogues! Lauren just knows the way to my heart.

Note: This ARC was provided by InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

I have quite a few favorite moments in this book, but if I had to choose a top three, they would have to include Harper's surprise gift (a box of detergent and a box of Blackwing pencils--Nick's preferred drawing instrument), the flirty texting that quickly evolves into a naughty exchange once Harper's curiosity takes over, and the proposed transitioning of the word "fuck" to mean "like" (you can read part of that conversation above but that doesn't even encompass how hilarious I thought the exchange was, one that ended with me going "Aww!"). This book more than tickled my fancy, and I enjoyed getting to know and falling in love with Nick and Harper. Having Spencer and Charlotte from Big Rock play an integral part in Nick and Harper's love story was a definite bonus since they weren't merely appearing for decorative purposes in the book. I'm also excited to read the upcoming stories of four supporting characters, with all three books currently slated for release this year. I highly encourage you to read Mister O. Five-plus stars. ♥

DNF @52%

After enjoying the first in this series I was looking forward to this book but it fell completely flat for me. I stopped at 50% because I was bored and I tried to pick it up again but only got to 52% before giving up entirely. The characters have no connection at all, it is all about lust and then sex. I just couldn't force myself to get through this.

Its a hit

I loved Nick! I usually like a dual POV but found myself turning page after page! I kept trying to read Harper to see how she felt about Nick! The plot was awesome and the story of these two was a great balance of flirty, sexy and real! The intimacy was so hot and fulfilling! This is a definite must read! Loved it and can't wait for Nicks story!
