I'd really go as high as 3.5. It's a decent start of a series. The world building is a little confusing, but I am slowly catching on. I'm not sure what it says when I find the "bad guy" to be the most interesting character so far. I can only wonder if that will change. If I continue to follow the series. I might. It peaked my interest.

Seven to eternity creates a world rich in lore. It is a mysterious introduction to troubled characters with a long past, flaws and difficult decisions to make. The story is not spoon fed to the reader but presented slowly through flashbacks and exposition. I think this may be both the strength and flaw of the book since it takes the reader some time before becoming comfortable with the world and characters.

Interesting story that was a little more grim than I wanted, but definitely interesting enough to keep me reading the next volume. Very good art too.

Fantasy and world building at its best. Rick Remender does his best work when creating his own worlds, and the story being told in Seven To Eternity is him at the top of his game. Not to mention the art you can't help but stare at and drink in.

An evil king, a unique take on the rugged fantasy hero, a compelling approach to magic, and a ruthless world, have me frantic to pick up the 2nd volume of this amazing story already. If you're a fantasy fan, but graphic novels aren't your thing, please pick up this book and let it sway you.

I love this kind of sci-fi/fantasy mashup lately, guess I've been getting bored with high fantasy for quite a while now. The art is amazing, the story is dark and original and the characters are really cool. This could have been my new favorite series except after this first volume they changed to a crappy artist (at least compared to the original) so now I'm all bummed out.

It's like, gritty Guardians of the Galaxy. Good art, interesting premise, looking forward to the next one!

Now this is a really good start to a series. A rich, well written and thought out world. The characters are strong and layered and the story is complex and compelling. This could be one of the best comic book series to come out in a long time.
Image comics are really strong at the moment and their stories beat the crap out of anything coming out of Marvel or DC.
