Bugs both fascinate and terrify me, so obviously this was a 5 star read! If you're looking for an informative book that'll make you squirm like a worm, this is it!

Creepy and fascinating.
The Schmidt Sting Pan Index is worth the price of admission.

Half a star off for not mentioning the most wicked and nightmarish class of bugs--the wool eaters. It's an easy and entertaining listen.

Bonus - no buggy illustrations in an audiobook.
Bonus - bugs can't eat an audiobook, but now I know of all the bugs that can eat a real book
Not a bonus - pesticide resistant lice are a thing that exists

3.5 stars. Entomology is one of my favorite subjects, so I devoured this book but I found myself wishing it was more. It is a catalog of fun facts & brief info about a variety of "bugs", a great intro for anyone interested in arthropods.
