The magic of this sequel wasn't quite enough to exceed, or match, it's predecessor. The Cursed Witch felt more like a straight continuation of the first, leaving no space for the growth that I had hoped for.

Everything feels too convenient. Characters appear where they are needed without any real logic, making the eorld feel small and artificial.

Lots of small things annoyed me reading this, none big enough to make me hate it, but enough to scupper any sense of enjoyment I might have gleaned. If the editing were tighter then it would be much better, but the story still feels strangely hollow.  It isn't bad but it does nothing to make me remember anything about it in a few years' time.

This was an okay sequel, not as strong as the first one but a nice conclusion.

not as magical as the first one and for someone who’s supposed to be legendary in magical abilities why does conroy only say two spells??

A wonderful sequel! It made me tear up a bit.
I wouldn't have guessed the reason for the Cullings. Def took me by surprise. The ending also wrapped everything up nicely. I personally would love to see this series turn into an animated movie or two. It continued to give Studio Ghibli vibes which made it a whimsical, enjoyable read.
